Friends and colleagues of craftsman Ken Forster have joined forces to celebrate him marking 31 years with Scotts of Thrapston, manufacturers of high-quality specialist timber products.
Ken joined the family-owned firm in 1989 and has progressed his career throughout his long service to become the Buildings and Joinery Factory Foreman. As a reward for his long service Scotts has gifted him with a Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 – in Lego – his dream gift!
Presenting the scale model kit James Scott, Managing Director, paid tribute to Ken: “Throughout his years here Ken has earned the respect of all his colleagues across the business.
“He has demonstrated his abilities and seized every opportunity, embracing change and enhancing the workplace with his fabulous attitude.
“We are delighted to present him with the Lamborghini – and even more delighted that his hobby means it is the Lego version that is his dream project!
“All of us at Scotts look forward to many more years working with Ken.”
Ken added: “In the last 31 years, I have been able to develop my management skills and achieve measurable results. I feel valued and a main part of the team and I feel my contributions to the firm are appreciated.
“I have seen many changes in management and factory employees within the last 31 years, which I feel has enhanced the company helping it achieve 100 years of manufacturing.
“On a personal level, I have made many friends during my time working at Scotts and would also like to thank our Chairman, David, and James for their support and the opportunities they have given me.
“Thank you too to everyone for my gift – I know I may have mentioned this model a few times over the last few months – it will be a great project to get started on over the holidays!”
