Roofing

Scotts has an expert Roof Truss division that has the speciality of designing, manufacturing and supplying Bespoke Roof Trusses for your Timber Stables, or other timber buildings.

Our Trusses are designed to suit heavier weight roof coverings such as clay tiles, slate tiles or even cedar shingle roofs. Your Stable Roofing can be supplied with a pitch typically greater than 30º and up to 45º. With our expertise we can supply bespoke scissor or fink style Roof Trusses and can allow for much larger overhangs to be incorporated into the design of the building.

Scotts Roof Trusses are manufactured from European Redwood which is kiln dried, stress graded to BS519 and can be pressure treated, if required. Our construction grade nailplates are made to BS EN 10147. All our Trusses are quality assured to BS5268 Part 3.

Classic Clock

Designed to combine tradition and beauty with the benefits of modern technology, this Classic Clock is weatherproof and ideal for keeping track of time in any Stable yard. Price includes the re-synchroniser.

Specifications:
- 24″ diameter
- Manufactured from maintenance free glass fibre
- Complete with a standard clock movement, housed in a weatherproof one-piece unit
- Roman or Arabic raised numerals gilded in 23½ carat gold leaf (except for the white clock which is supplied with black numerals)
- Six standard colours: Black, British Racing Green, Navy Blue, French Blue, Burgundy and White
- Complete with 13 amp plug for mains connection
- Time setting is done by moving the clock hands from the front of the dial
- All fixtures and fittings supplied separately

Clock Tower

A Clock Tower adds visual interest to any stable yard and can be supplied either as an addition to your new Timber Stables or as a finishing touch to your existing Stables.

Specifications:
- Pressure impregnated timber with side vents
- Fibreglass roof
- Size: 750mm wide x 750mm deep x 790mm high
- If required, can be finished with a decorative stain or paint in a choice of colours at an extra cost
- The roof pitch will need to be specified at the time of ordering
- The Clock Tower can be supplied with clocks on one or more faces, at an additional cost.
- All fixtures and fittings supplied separately

Standard Weathervane

A variety of Weathervane styles are available as a practical finishing touch to your Stables or Outbuildings. You can specify a particular Equestrian discipline you are involved in, or if you have a favourite animal, and we can offer some relevant designs that we think will suit your lifestyle.

At the time of ordering, you will need to specify if the Weathervane is to be affixed to a Clock Tower or the gable end as the fixing brackets vary.

- Laser cut steel Weathervane in 20 standard designs
- Grit blasted initially to prevent oxidisation
- Finished in a semi matt black high solids zinc chromate paint
- Supplied with fixings
- Measurement of 698.5mm across the cardinal points
- All fixtures and fittings supplied separately

Bespoke Weathervane

Scotts offers an option for you to create a stunning Weathervane to your own design as a personal finishing touch to your Stables or Outbuildings.

At the time of ordering, you will need to specify if the Weathervane is to be affixed to a Clocktower or the gable end as the fixing brackets vary.

Hay Bar

The Hay Bar has been designed to aid digestion, with the horses’ natural feeding position in mind. The Hay Bar is quick and easy to fill and is designed to take a full bale of hay at a time.

- Manufactured from high density polyethylene (HDPE) with reinforced top edge
- Black finish only
- Rust proof, rot proof and extremely durable
- Available in two sizes:

Anti-Weave Door Grille

The galvanised Anti-Weave Grille conveniently fits into the Scotts standard Newmarket Stable Door.

- Complete with sockets for attaching to Stable Door
- Strong, durable construction of tube, 12mm rod and flat steel
- Hot dip galvanised finish
- Size*: 1040mm wide x 760mm high to suit the standard Newmarket stable door.

Anti-Weave Door Grille Infill

Scotts can also supply a Grille Infill for our Anti-Weave Door Grille. This has been designed as a simple drop in section.

Internal Grille

A robust talk grille that fits into the dividing wall between boxes, so that the horses can see each other.

Saddle Horse

Scotts tradtional design timber saddle horses are all handcrafted and painted.

The large saddle horse is the perfect addition to any tack room and our new small saddle horse is the ideal size for storing your saddle at home.
