Newmarket Stable Door and Frame

All loose boxes, supplied by Scotts of Thrapston, are fitted, as standard, with a Newmarket Stable Door and Frame. This high quality Stable Door and Frame is supplied to fit into any timber or brick built Stables.

This Stable Door is a two-part, framed, ledged and braced door externally clad in tongue and groove V-jointed boarding. The inside of the Stable Door is completely sheathed in exterior grade plywood and then lined to the inside of the bottom door with galvanised steel. It has a deep door capping to prevent chewing.

    • Two part timber stable door, clad externally with ex 19mm x 125mm pressure impregnated Tongue & Groove ‘V’ jointed boarding
    • 400mm deep galvanised steel anti-chew capping to the top of the bottom door
    • Galvanised metal plate to the inside of the bottom door
    • Galvanised metal cabin hooks to the top and bottom doors
    • A magnetic catch can be supplied as an alternative to the cabin hook for the top door, but at an additional cost
    • Heavy duty, galvanised kick over catch and keeper.
    • Galvanised padbolt to top and bottom door
    • 610mm galvanised heavy duty reversible hinges
    • Pressure impregnated timber door frame encased in heavy duty galvanised steel
    • Stable door can be finished with a decorative stain or paint in a choice of colours but the price below is for a pressure impregnated finish only
    • Overall frame size – 1298mm x 2283mm
    • Anti-weave grilles and extra galvanised sheeting are available at an additional cost.

Bottom Stable Door and Frame

If you simply require a Bottom Stable Door and Frame, Scotts can supply the full door frame along with the Bottom Stable Door. This can be supplied to fit into timber or brick built Stables.

Price: £540 (exc. VAT and delivery)

    • One part timber door, to height of 1375mm, clad externally with ex 19mm x 125mm pressure impregnated Tongue & Groove ‘V’ jointed boarding
    • 400mm deep galvanised steel anti-chew capping to the top of the bottom door
    • Galvanised metal plate to the inside of the bottom door
    • Galvanised metal cabin hook to bottom stable door

    • 610mm galvanised heavy duty reversible hinges

Pony Height Stable Door and Frame

Scotts can supply Timber Stable Doors to meet most specifications and there has been an increasing demand for Pony Height Stable Doors. Essentially, the overall Stable Door is the same measurement but the bottom door is manufactured to a lower height allowing your pony to see over it into the yard. The top door is, therefore, proportionately deeper to compensate.

Rear Top Stable Door and Frame

Rear Top Stable Doors offer the horses an all-round view whilst improving the circulation of fresh air. The added option for a Glazed Rear Top Stable Door is available so providing additional daylight into the loose box when the actual door is closed.

As standard, these Rear Top Doors are manufactured to the same specification as the ‘Newmarket’ Stable Door.

    • 6.4mm laminated glass complete with internal mesh grille
    • Galvanised cabin hook to rear top door

    • The top door frame incorporates a galvanised steel capping to prevent chewing
    • The standard rear top door size is 1145mm wide x 855mm high, although alternative sizes can be accommodated
    • Complete with galvanised metal frame, perspex and internal grille.  
    • All fittings and fixings supplied loose.

Glazed Rear Top Door and Frame

Similar to the Rear Top Door, this option has the modification of a glazed top door. This Rear Top Door can improve circulation of air and provides additional sunlight into the loose box.

Scotts offers a tried and tested high security Tack Room Door and Frame, to meet increasing demand.

    • Framed, ledged and braced door clad with clear pressure impregnated Tongue & Groove jointed boarding
    • The Tack Room door can be finished with a decorative stain or paint in a choice of colours but the price below is for a clear pressure treated finish only
    • Pressure treated timber door frame encased in heavy duty galvanised steel
    • Comes complete with a high security, multi-point lock incorporating anti-pick technology to prevent opportunist theft
    • A galvanised steel sheet is fitted to the inside of the tack room door for additional security
    • The door is inward opening and can be supplied either right or left handed ~ please specify your requirement when ordering.

Feed Room Door

If a less secure Tack Room Door is required, the Feed Room Door provides a cost-effective alternative to the Scotts high security Tack Room Door. This Feed Room Door is lockable but does not incorporate the same level of security features as the specific Tack Room Door.
